In preparation for High Point Market, which will take place April 18 to 23 in High Point, N.C., companies are launching contests and new products.

Capel Rugs

Capel Rugs will spotlight seven new fashion-forward rug collections at High Point Market, and retailers making an appointment to visit Capel during High Point Market will have a chance to win more than $10,000 of David Yurman jewelry from Fink's Jewelers, according to the company.

Any retailer, buyer or interior designer making an appointment to tour Capel's showroom—Market Square, Space 112—with a sales representative during market will be automatically entered into a raffle for the jewelry, which will be awarded at the conclusion of the Spring show.

Company C

In addition to introducing its Fall line at High Point, Company C is offering its interior design partners the opportunity to submit an original rug design that will go into production and be launched by October. To be considered for the Interior Designer Challenge, designers must submit their original design by May 15. A panel of industry professionals will select the winning design on June 1. In addition to having the rug added to an upcoming season’s design introductions, the winning designer will also receive their own rug made to their sizing specifications.

Oriental Weavers

Along with the introduction of its new 2015/2016 Rug Fashion Catalog, Oriental Weavers is conducting its first social media contest during High Point market. Attendees are invited to drop by the Oriental Weavers showroom (IHFC G.276), select the area rug that they identify with most, snap a shot standing on the rug and post on Instagram with the hashtags #StandByStyle and #HPMKT. Participants must also follow @OrientalWeavers on Instagram to qualify. One winner will be selected at random to win their favorite Oriental Weavers rug in the size of their choice as well as a Zappos gift certificate, according to the company.

Surya

Surya is once again holding its #SpottedwithSurya contest. Through May 15, designers and retailers are encouraged to snap a photo of themselves with a Surya tote bag in an interesting or unusual setting and post it to Instagram for the opportunity to win Surya products.
