Robert Langstaff, an artist and designer who created the plank designs for Metroflor's new Aspecta contract luxury vinyl tile (LVT), has been selected to be the company's first director of design.

In his expanded role, Langstaff will oversee the design direction for all of Metroflor’s brands, in addition to Aspecta, he will oversee Konecto, Engage, Aspire, Artistek and Metroflor Dryback.
A painter and sculptor represented by Kouros Gallery in New York, Langstaff is also a product and surface designer working under the name of Langstaff Studio. He has designed award-winning wallcovering, laminate and vinyl film products for several domestic and international companies. Previously, Langstaff's focus has been on countertop laminates, laminate flooring and LVT.
