Mahmud Jafri, CEO of Dover Rug & Home, has announced his company is the recipient of the 2014 Community Excellence Award, given by the Family Business Association (FBA) of Massachusetts. This annual award competition honors a family business with a strong commitment to philanthropy and passion for supporting worthy causes, the retailer stated. Dover Rug & Home was selected from a competitive pool of applicants.
“We are privileged to be a winner of this prestigious award. To be recognized for our positive impact on our community is truly humbling,” Jafri noted. Jafri is a recipient of the 2013 Immigrant Entrepreneur Award for “Outstanding Neighborhood Business” by the Immigrant Learning Center and is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), International Furnishing and Design Association (IFDA), and World Floor Covering Association (WFCA).
