When the Ardex Americas manufacturing plant in Mansfield, Texas was built in 2009, it was approximately 35,000 square feet. To accommodate growing business, the company recently broke ground on an expansion that will add 45,000 more square feet to the facility.

“We continue to experience strong growth, particularly in our line of Tile & Stone Installation Systems products,” said Marshall Seavers, plant manager at the facility. “The expansion is primarily warehouse space that will improve inventory and logistics for all ARDEX Americas products throughout the Southwestern U.S.”

Seavers also manages the Stockton, Calif., Plant which was built in 2012. “The Stockton location complements our reach to the western U.S., western Canada, and Mexico,” he said. “The investment in infrastructure is evidence that ARDEX Americas, as the leader in the industry, is strong and growing.”

The Ardex plant in Mansfield employs 14 people on two shifts and will produce about 19,000 metric tons, or nearly 42 million pounds of product in 2014, according to the company.

The location also is home to one of eight Ardex Academy Training Centers in North America and the site has recently been recognized by the City of Mansfield as an industrial leader in the community. “The City is very supportive of our efforts and excited about our growth.” Seavers added, “Ardex is very happy to be a positive contribution to the City of Mansfield.”

The Mansfield Plant earned SHARP Certification in 2012 from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, establishing it as a Safety Benchmark Facility. According to OSHA, by achieving SHARP status, the plant and its workers are in an elite group of small businesses that maintain exemplary injury and illness prevention programs.
