According to Jim Olson, assistant executive director of the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA), the association is experiencing a 7% increase in paid and active members through May of 2014, in comparison to May 2013 members.
“Through May, we have 823 members, compared to 766 in 2013,” said Olson. “Out of these totals, over 75% of our members are tile contractors, which is a healthy ratio for effective trade associations.” With seven months to go in the year, we are tracking ahead of schedule to reach 1,000 members for the first time in the history of the association.”
Bart Bettiga, NTCA executive director credits the growth of NTCA membership to concerted staff efforts at communication to the members, as well as increased participation from dedicated and active volunteer board and state directors. “In the past few years, NTCA members have been instrumental in promoting certification, revising and implementing standards to reflect the promotion of qualified labor, and impacting the growth of the industry through its publications and national and educational programs. We are very excited about announcing our 1,000th member very soon.”
