Daniel Metzger has been promoted to J+J Flooring's director of design. Metzger will focus on leading the design development of commercial flooring for the company’s corporate, education, healthcare, retail and hospitality markets.

Metzger moves into the position from his previous role as J+J Flooring's senior designer. Metzger has honed this expertise from more than 20 years’ experience in floor covering design with J+J Flooring as well as other carpet companies. He has an extensive background in developing product lines and custom patterns for the hospitality, corporate workplace, healthcare and education markets and brings an expansive knowledge of yarn systems, tufting operations and pattern development to his new role.

A graduate of Philadelphia University in Textile Design, Metzger also attended the Savannah College of Art & Design. He currently lives in Chattanooga, Tenn.
