The National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) has hired two new employees at its headquarters in St. Louis. John Forbes has been hired as manufacturer services director, and Adam Williams has been hired as marketing manager.
Forbes spent 12 years working at Eagle Lumber Company in Stamford, Conn., as a project manager, and six years running his own wood flooring contracting business, Foremost Custom Hardwood Floors, also in Stamford. He has extensive experience with all aspects of mill operations, including developing a flooring line conforming to NWFA and proprietary grades. In his new role, Forbes will work with NWFA manufacturer members to support programs such as the NWFA/NOFMA Mill Certification Program, the NWFA Responsible Procurement Program, the NWFA Accepted Product Seal Program, and the NWFA Technical Call Center.
Williams has more than 10 years experience in corporate and trade marketing, working most recently with Nestle Purina PetCare Company in St. Louis, and Demand Management, also in St. Louis, a company that provides software for forecast management, inventory planning, and supply chain management. He has both print and on-line marketing experience, including social media, websites, video production, e-mail marketing, magazine publishing, photography, and design coordination. In his new role, Williams will manage all of NWFA’s print and digital marketing needs.
NWFA President and CEO, Michael Martin, states that “the addition of these two mission-critical positions to our staff will help NWFA provide and improve products and services for our members that will help their companies succeed.
