When the Center Hall doors open to AmericasMart Atlanta’s 2013 HD Home collection January 10, retailers will step into an exclusive juried collection of design-driven furniture and home furnishings product capturing the essence of refined style.
HD Home is AmericasMart’s pre-eminent showcase for sophisticated lifestyle home décor and a preferred destination in the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market and Atlanta International Area Rug Market featuring the National Oriental Rug Show (NORS). The eight exhibitors placed in the collection for January 2013 will offer must-see design presentations on Floor 1 of Building 1. HD Home opens with a popular HD Home preview event on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2-6 p.m. offered with a cocktail buffet for retailers, designers and media. Buffet service begins at 2 p.m. and continues through 6 p.m. The HD HOME collection continues with other Market temporary categories January 11-15.
One of the exhibitors returning to HD Home in January is Amy Howard Home, which sells upscale, American-made, hand-crafted, hand-painted furniture.
“You know, I have been in the furniture business a long time,” says Amy Howard, “and frankly the markets and shows are what manufacturing is all about. My experiences with HD Home have been amazing. The traffic, the overwhelming enthusiasm for our product, the trade press – and the orders – are unprecedented for Amy Howard Home at HD Home. We definitely consider this to be a very important market and location for our core customers.”
French Heritage, a North Carolina-based company that produces high-end antique reproduction furniture with a French twist, likewise has found success exhibiting in HD Home.
“We were very happy with the quality of the customers that we met there,” says Henessy Wayser, president of French Heritage. “We actually reconnected with several customers that we had lost contact with. It was a pleasure dealing with AmericasMart, everyone was very accommodating. We were very satisfied, that’s why we are back for the January show.”
Exciting NEW additions to HD Home include: Emporium Home, Elaine Smith and Jamie Young Company.
Emporium Home, July 2012’s Best in Show award winner for visual display, embodies fashion for interiors and is committed to creating unique and beautiful products that bring inspiration and edge to their environment.
Elaine Smith offers up a chic line of luxury outdoor pillows, which are rich in color, lavish in detail and impervious to the elements.
Jamie Young Company is a distinguished purveyor of lighting, occasional furniture, mirrors and home accessories.
Also returning to HD Home are Lowcountry Originals, Modern History and Camilla House Imports. Lowcountry Originals sells lighting, furniture and accessories custom-manufactured with the Lowcountry feeling and style. Modern History sells classical styled furniture re-interpreted for today’s home. Camilla House Imports, based in Canada, creates furniture and home décor using industrial and reclaimed woods.
The success of HD Home is underscored by the veterans populating the permanent collections in Building 1. Four amazing HD Home veterans are now located on Floor 9 – the Home Accents and Fine Linens floor. These companies found such success from exhibiting in HD Home that they established showrooms to create even more spectacular product displays and reach more buyers throughout the year. Design Legacy by Kelly O’Neal, Ann Gish, French Laundry Home and Mr. Brown are all flourishing in permanent showrooms for January Market.
