ProSpec is launching a new formulation of its Floor Patch Pro, a polymer-modified, cement-based skim coat and patching product. This new formula has a 15-minute initial set time and accepts most floor coverings in as little as 30 minutes.

It installs on slabs with up to 90 percent relative humidity and offers superior workability and coverage for quick and easy application from featheredge to two inches in thickness. When sanded, ProSpec’s Floor Patch Pro produces little dust, which results in less cleanup time.  

“This new formulation provides contractors with a quicker return to service and a cleaner job site while maintaining the excellent workability and coverage expected from Floor Patch Pro. Plus, there is the added flexibility of applying the product on slabs with up to 90 percent relative humidity,” said Gil Seco, Chief Operating Officer for ProSpec.

Floor Patch Pro features Micro Defense Technology for mold and mildew resistance and has a compressive strength after 28 days of >4,000 psi (24.1 MPa). It can be used under most floor coverings including resilient sheet, tile and planks, ceramic tile, wood flooring and carpet. It can be used over concrete, cement backerboard, interior plywood, cementitious terrazzo, ceramic tile and more.

The new Floor Patch Pro formulation is being launched in an entirely redesigned package, which includes new graphics and sealing technology. The graphics were completely updated using distributor and contractor feedback. The design includes bold colors to clearly identify the product in a warehouse or on a job site, easier to read product name and description and clearer installation instructions to aid in application. The bold colors and unique design are distinct to ProSpec. The new sealing technology will result in significantly less dust during production and shipment, resulting in easier handling and a cleaner warehouse.
