Karastan-Hampton

Karastan’s Cabo de Sol in color Harbor Blue was bound into a rug for a sitting room in the Hampton Designer Showhouse.

It is regarded as one of the East Coast’s most prestigious show home experiences. Presented by Traditional Home magazine, the Hampton Designer Showhouse is achieving a new level of luxury this year with the help of Karastan. The luxury floor covering brand is featured throughout the 8,800 square foot Showhouse, which is nestled in one of Southampton’s most exclusive neighborhoods. Showcasing the talents of more than 30 A-list designers, many turned to Karastan for their complete floor covering needs.

“Karastan has a rich history of craftsmanship and a longstanding tradition of luxury, which today’s leading designers really trust and value,” said Elise Demboski, vice president of creative services, Karastan. “It is a privilege to be included in the 2012 Hampton Designer Showhouse, and I think this project really celebrates what Karastan does so well. We are a luxury brand, but there is truly no limit to our design versatility and product flexibility. You see that reflected here. Each space is uniquely created, and Karastan offers the go-to product that captures each designer’s intended tone impeccably.”

Comprised of 6 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, formal dining and living rooms, a library, media room and more, the 2012 Hampton Designer Showhouse debuted with an opening night VIP gala in July. Karastan’s crafted rugs and broadloom carpets greet guests in nine areas of the Showhouse, including (but not limited to) the main foyer, master sitting room, guest suite and media room. Products on display include Karastan rugs from the English Manor Collection, as well as Karastan’s Wool Crochet, Swainson and Metro Center carpets.
