Santa Fe Springs based Shaw Industries was one of four California companies honored by the California Product Stewardship Council (CPSC) during the organization’s Arrow Awards ceremony held in Oakland recently during the California Resource Recovery Associations 36th annual conference.

Shaw Industries was honored for their overall excellence in product stewardship with a Golden Arrow Award. Shaw has invested heavily in technologies that will move the industry to a fully sustainable future. Shaw Industries has designed products using materials that are safe and responsible for human health and the environment. Central to their commitment to sustainability, their products can also be recycled back into themselves. Shaw also has a competitive, sustainable energy strategy focused on maximizing efficient use of critical resources, as well as, reducing their overall environmental footprint by decreasing energy, waste, and water consumption.

Armstrong Ceiling Systems, No-Toil, and Call2Recycle also received statewide recognition for excellence in system design and innovation, coalition building and product take-back.

“We are so pleased to spotlight the contributions of these businesses and organizations that are truly product-stewardship stars and creating recycling jobs in California,” said Heidi Sanborn, Executive Director of CPSC.
