Three Karastan rugs were selected by the creative finalists for season seven of HGTV Design Star, the reality series in which 12 competitive interior designers, contractors, stylists and artists bring their most ingenious ideas to make over challenging spaces.
In episode 1, Karastan’s modern Dechy Taupe rug pulls together an area in front of a fireplace in a large bedroom, while the Mystical Zebra rug from Karastan is the centerpiece of a contemporary lounge/den. In episode 4, Karastan’s Bristol Lane Gray rug (pictured) brings earth tones to a cozy living room. To see these winning décors, go to www.hgtv.com/design-star.
In HGTV Design Star, HGTV judges Genevieve Gorder and Vern Yip are joined by a different celebrity judge each week. They decide who stays and goes home, plus fans can vote online for their favorite designer. The winning designer will land his or her own show on HGTV.
“Seeing young designers discover Karastan products is exciting,” said Steve Roan, vice president of Karastan Rugs. “This show is about being inventive, having an eye for good design and creating an inviting and livable space. Those are all the energies that Karastan brings to each of its rugs.”
