Frank Potter will retire from Stauf Adhesives on April 15, after more than 30 years in the flooring industry. Potter’s career began with Hartco Wood Floors in 1979, progressed through companies such as Mannington Resilient Floors, Art Guild Inc. Point-of-Purchase Division, and Capella Wood Floors, before he joined Stauf over five years ago.
With Stauf, Potter has served both internally in operations, advertising, marketing, and strategic planning, and externally as the company's representative in the mid-West, serving Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, West Tennessee, Missouri and Kansas.
Potter said he is looking forward to a host of volunteer and outdoor activities, as well as travel and time to spend with children and grandchildren. He added that he is extremely thankful for the many friends he has made in this industry and for the privilege of working with so many so successfully through the years.
"We at Stauf will miss Frank. ... We will miss his organizational abilities, passion and work ethic that he has brought us each day. We’ll also miss his teasing and his never-ending sense of humor," David Ford, vp sales and marketing, wrote in a memo to customers.
The company said it will be in touch with customers individually as it adjusts to Potter's retirement.
