In anticipation of significant sales growth starting in 2012, Florida Tile has expanded its sales team with the appointment of Tom Facca as Senior Director Independent and Commercial Sales, effective immediately.

Facca will be moving with his family to the Lexington, Ky., area. He will report directly to Massimo Barbari, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing, who made the announcement. According to Barbari, Facca’s selection was the result of a comprehensive search.

“In this new position Tom will be responsible for growing several critical segments of our business, including sales through independent distribution, commercial channels and third party accounts in the United States and Canada,” Barbari said.

“Tom has successfully promoted and sold tile and related products through positions of increasing responsibility to include those with two major manufacturers in the U.S. and also with a regional distributor. It is the skills and experience in that career path which Florida Tile intends to leverage in the months ahead.”   

Barbari added, “For example, Tom has excellent relationships throughout the industry and is bringing to Florida Tile an in-depth working knowledge of both independent distribution and the commercial market. This combination of experience is a perfect complement to the great development that has already been achieved in these areas.”

As part of the expansion the following will report to Facca: Director of Sales for Independent Organization, Director of Commercial Sales and Business Development, Canadian Independent Sales, and Sales Administration Manager.
