Halex Corp. has announced the acquisition of the Orcon Corp. flooring installation business, including the Orcon lines of seam tapes, tools and adhesives. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Orcon’s history of manufacturing and marketing high-quality carpet seam tapes, adhesives and tools has created a loyal following among professional installers around the world. Our goal will be to continue to create consistent value improvement for all of our customers,” said Brent Elliott, president & ceo of Halex Corp.

“The Orcon name is the leading seam tape brand in the world with carpet installers. Orcon products are a great addition to our existing portfolio of industry leading floor installation accessory brands including Capitol, Roberts seam tape and tack strip, Halex, Specialized, and VersaShield,” addeed Tom Downey, vp sales and marketing.

According to Halex, customers can benefit from combining shipments of Orcon products with their favorite Halex brands.

Halex will market the Orcon Products from its two main manufacturing and distribution centers in Pomona, Calif., and Dalton, Ga.
