Five years ago, Florida Tile’s parent company, Panariagroup, announced it would retrofit an under-utilized manufacturing plant in Lawrenceburg, KY, thus making strategic investment in domestic US manufacturing with Florida Tile. In 2009, the company announced its continued commitment to the North American market by moving and expanding its headquarters from Lakeland, Florida to Lexington, KY.
The company and the Governor’s office have stated that the new facility initially will create 25 new jobs, growing to more than 50. The project was one to the first to be approved for incentives through the Kentucky’s Business Investment Program, established by Gov. Beshear in 2009.
Said the Governor at the ceremony, “The attraction of Florida Tile‘s headquarters facility was a big win for Kentucky, creating dozens of new high-wage, professional jobs and a multi-million dollar investment. I am excited to be part of today’s celebration that will no doubt be just the beginning of a long and successful partnership.”
The new Beaumont Center headquarters situates Florida Tile’s corporate offices strategically near the Lexington, KY airport, as well its manufacturing plant and national distribution center in nearby Lawrenceburg.
According to Florida Tile President Michael Franceschelli, “Our move to Lexington has been a great advantage to our business in the synergies created by our proximity to our manufacturing and distribution facilities. We have also found a great wealth of talent in the workforce, and the charm and hospitality of the area continues to make the transition an easy one.”
