Florida Tile’s Lawrenceburg, Ky., facility, representing a more than $15 million investment, is now running at three shifts seven days a week to meet the demand for the company’s evolving lines of porcelain and ceramic tile.
According to Michael Franceschelli, Florida Tile president, “Our growing product portfolio and round-the-clock manufacturing mean we are keeping our promises to the region which invited us here and also our promises to our industry.”
“It was just five years ago when our parent company, Panariagroup, announced it would relocate Florida Tile to Kentucky and to essentially re-fit an under-utilized manufacturing plant in Lawrenceburg, Ky,” he added. “The statement was a clear one, that Florida Tile would be a strategic investment in domestic U.S. manufacturing.”
“Our investments in quality, efficiencies, environmental stewardship and design, of course, has helped Florida Tile’s brand and products grow and thrive in this economy to a point where we announced a 20 percent increase in personnel in 2010 and are now proud to state our facility runs non-stop,” Franceschelli stated. “I am proud to say that we have and continue to deliver on our promise of new styles, advanced products and American jobs.”
