In addition
to opening a new 85,000-sq.-ft. distribution center in Pasadena, TX, Orchid
Ceramics has partnered with CrossGlobe Logistics to help with coordination of
shipping products.
The company partnered with
CrossGlobe Logistics to help promote the porcelain distribution in the United
States. “CrossGlobe is known for its sterling track record of delivering
products safely and efficiently, which is very important when shipping a
product as fragile as tile,” Orchid notes. “It is estimated that the facility
will be shipping more than 300 shipments per month.” Orchid Ceramics has a
total of two distribution centers in the United States with the other being in
New Albany, IN.
“We are thrilled with our new distribution center as well as
our new corporate offices,” said Tena Wooldridge, Marketing Manager for Orchid
Ceramics. “The new distribution center’s location was chosen for its
cost-effectiveness – 70 percent of our volume was already coming through the
port in Pasadena, so it made financial and logistical sense for us to have a
distribution center here. In addition, our partnership with CrossGlobe will
ensure smooth delivery to our customers. Our new corporate offices are still in
Tulsa and we are excited to continue to be a part of the community.”
