Travelling floor and window store Carpet Network of Medford recently partnered with Floor Coverings International (FCI), a franchised shop-at-home flooring retailer. Owners Jennifer and Brett Ostroff will keep their staff on board, while gaining access to additional products and resources for their clients in a brand new showroom located at 109 Gaither Drive in Mt. Laurel, N.J.

When Carpet Network closed their doors early this year, Tom Wood, president and CEO of FCI, realized that many of its franchise owners could struggle without the support of their franchisor. Wood decided to offer to convert their businesses to FCI franchises. The partnership is expected to benefit not only the former Carpet Network owners, but also their clients. With larger organizations come lower costs; additional vendors including Armstrong, Emser, and Design Materials; a strong leadership and operations team; and a more aggressive field support program, the company said.

“Partnering with FCI gave us the opportunity to expand our already loyal customer base while still serving all with an expanded selection of products,” said Brett Ostroff.

The newly converted owners will also have access to FCI’s IT visualization system, FCI InspireNet, which lets clients see what their home will look like with a flooring makeover before they buy.  Originally a mobile concept, many of today’s FCI franchisees operate from professional environments/design studios.  FCI's products include carpet, hardwood, laminates, luxury vinyl, ceramic tile, area rugs and window coverings.

“We are happy to welcome Jennifer and Brett to the Floor Coverings International family,” said Wood. “The Ostroffs have a long history in the business and we know they will bring years of experience and success to the FCI brand.”
