Armstrong World Industries recently achieved Climate Registered status, a recognition awarded to members of the Climate Registry who enter a voluntary program to publicly report and third-party verify their greenhouse gas inventory.
“We joined the organization to provide a best-practices roadmap for reducing carbon pollution, and to get third-party verification that we’re tracking our progress correctly,” said Steve Pfeiffenberger, Armstrong vp environment, health and safety. “The Climate Registered status validates the robust data we’ve been tracking internally is accurate and reliable, and ties this work to our corporate sustainability goals.”
Additionally, Armstrong was recognized for committing to reduce its greenhouse gas footprint by 10 percent as part of the Climate Registered reduction program.
