“We believe the 21

INSTALL also
expanded its industry-wide alliance in 2009, by securing 21 additional
partners. Those companies joining the INSTALL partnership are: All Floor

As part of
its plants for 2010, INSTALL will host a floor covering leadership conference April
5-8, where top flooring industry leaders, nationally recognized economic policy
experts, training and certification experts, and several educational workshops
in front of members of the INSTALL alliance will be held.
The event
will be held at the Carpenters International Training Center (CITC) in Las
Vegas, NV. The CITC is the 400,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art
training headquarters of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of
America (UBC). The UBC represents the installers within the INSTALL alliance (www.installfloors.org).
Hundreds of INSTALL contractors, as
well as representatives from INSTALL’s partnering mill and manufacturers will
join the UBC’s INSTALL business representatives and local leaders at the event.
Six educational workshops will be offered on topics addressing technical,
business, and marketing strategies. Guest speakers will address issues crucial
to members of the flooring industry. UBC staff responsible for training and
INSTALL certification will explain and demonstrate the curriculum and INSTALL
certification process.
Attendance
at the Leadership Conference is limited to members of the INSTALL alliance, including
UBC signatory contractors who employ INSTALL-trained mechanics, and UBC staff
and leadership. INSTALL mills and manufacturer alliance members have been
invited to participate.
