The North American Laminate Flooring Association has created the blog, “All About Laminate Flooring” (http://allaboutlaminateflooring.blogspot.com), to connect with and educate consumers about laminate flooring, the industry, products and trends. The blog is the first step in the organization’s vision to reach out to consumers interested in laminate flooring.  

“The NALFA Certification Seal gives proof that a product has underwent rigorous testing by NALFA to prove its quality,” said Bill Dearing, president of NALFA.  “Until now, NALFA has focused on creating awareness of the NALFA Certification Seal in the industry. The blog is a great way to reach out to the end-user and directly educate them about certified products and the benefits of laminate flooring.“

All About Laminate Flooring will feature educational information, answers to consumer questions/concerns, industry news and NALFA member product information.  The blog facilitates discussion and encourages consumers to ask questions and provide feedback on their experiences with laminate flooring. The blog will also feature photos, podcasts, articles from guest authors within the industry and links to additional resources such as flooring industry news outlets. Visitors can subscribe to the blog and receive instant updates when new blog posts are added.

A study conducted by Buzzlogic shows there has been a 300 percent growth in monthly blog readership over the past four years. Not only are people reading blogs, they are looking to blogs for assistance in purchasing decisions. The same study revealed that for 52 percent of respondents, blogs play a role in the critical moment they decide to move forward with a purchase.

“We felt that due to the trend toward more online information searching and even purchasing, a blog would be a good step to interact and connect with potential customers,” added Dearing.
