Propex Operating Co., LLC has announced a 6 percent price increase for all its primary and secondary products sold in the North American carpet industry, effective Feb. 1. This increase is driven by the continued upward cost trend for key raw materials, notably polypropylene resin.

“As a company, we remain committed to maintaining reasonable margins that allow us to continue to invest in product technology, service and manufacturing resources to help meet customer needs,” said Dave Gartshore, national sales director – furnishing solutions.

Propex, based in Chattanooga, is grouped into four operating units including Geosynthetics, Performance Technologies, Concrete Solutions and Furnishing Solutions. Its products are designed to enhance safety, sustainability, convenience, and protection for the marketplace and environment.
