Surfaces was awarded one of highest honors in the trade show
industry at the recent Trade Show Executive Gold 100 Awards and Summit, which was held
Sept. 24 in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. The award marks the second consecutive
year that the trade show has received this honor.
Trade Show
Executive (TSE) magazine annually recognizes the top 100 trade shows in the
United States and awards those shows which have demonstrated leadership in
various categories. Surfaces earned the Grand Gold award for “At the Forefront
of Technology” based on the introduction of ConnectionPOINT, the new portal
interface that serves as an online event headquarters in which attendees and
exhibitors can access customized information based on their history with the
show.
“The
distinction is both validation and incentive that we continue to listen to our
audience given the rapidly changing marketplace,” said Rick McConnell,
president of Hanley Wood Exhibitions, which produces the Surfaces show. “This
kind of endorsement is going to make us work even harder to maintain our
leadership position.”
Surfaces
2010 will be held Feb. 2-4 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV.
