The Beaulieu Cares Committee, a group of Beaulieu of America staffers who hold fund-raising events to keep the local Dalton, Ga.-based food pantry stocked, say they will raise more than $10,000 this year for the Red Cross Murray County food bank. Additionally, Carl Bouckaert, one of the owners of Beaulieu, will match the contribution.
"The need is greater than ever, with the unemployment rate in the area hovering around 12.4 percent," the company said. "Last year, the Murray County food bank served approximately 13,000 people and assisted hundreds more through its referral service, thanks to Beaulieu."
