Blastrac NA has formed Diamatic Management Services (DMS), a new division designed to coordinate and handle the management, specification writing, and training for large surface preparation and polishing projects. Through its Ultra-Flor System, DMS will approve and certify contractors by way of hands-on training, instruction and testing on the proper equipment, procedures and techniques for achieving specified grinding and polishing requirements, Blastrac said.
“Based on demand, we’ve decided to act and create a system to connect our contractors, equipment, and owners within a network that provides unparalleled quality and repeatability,” said Steve Klugherz, Blastrac's global vp, “Our extensive Ultra-Flor program will ensure the best results for architects and owners and set standards for consistent quality in the grinding and polishing of concrete floors for high traffic areas.”
Diamatic Management Services will also qualify and approve procedures, write specifications, certify contractors and operators, and assist in the supply of proper equipment and consumables for job-specific operations, Blastrac noted.
Additionally, DMS aims to be a source for certified concrete grinding and polishing contractors. "This consortium will be critically important when those properties rely on polished concrete for aesthetics, durability, maintainability, and cost effectiveness," the company said.
