Shaw has launched the Growth & Sustainability Council. The group, which comprises 15 top executives at Shaw, will focus on long-term business growth and issues surrounding sustainability. “Shaw sustainability is about driving growth, innovation and productivity throughout the value chain and, therefore, better serving our customers, said Vance Bell, Shaw’s CEO and a member of the council.
Rick Ramirez, Shaw's vp sustainability and environmental affairs, will serve as chairman of the council. Hal Long, exec. vp operations, will act as executive sponsor. Randy Merritt, Shaw's president, and Shaw CFO Ken Jackson will "provide leadership and advice to the council and act on its recommendations," Shaw said. Additionally, Dr. Bruce Piasecki, a professional facilitator, will help organize and develop critical information for the council.
