Aiming to expand reach in Calif., Galleher buys Floor Service Supply
The Santa Fe Springs, Calif.-based
distributor Galleher Corp. said it is acquiring Floor Service Supply, a
75-year-old hardwood and laminate distributor with locations in San Jose and
Sacramento, Calif. The deal stands to
expand Galleher’s presence in its home state, particularly in the northern area
of California where Floor Service Supply is prominent.
Jeff Hamar, the president of Galleher Corp., noted the move will bolster his 71-year old company. “This acquisition supports our strategy of growth and expansion by enhancing our market position, operational efficiencies, and potential customer base,” said Hamar.
Vicki Dryden, former vp sales and marketing at Galleher Corp., will head the Northern California operation. “Vicki has a lifetime of experience in the flooring industry and 15 years with Galleher,” said Hamar. “She will be key in bringing our best practices and products to the new customers we will service in Northern California.”
