Joe Amato, vp of residential styling for Mannington, said he is proud that his company won five top awards in the recentNFTStyling Excellence competition – more than any other manufacturer this year. Proud, but not surprised.
.
“A lot of work goes into these products,” he says. “It’s technology, R&D, manufacturing and styling all working together to create these visuals. It’s very meaningful to us that we won these awards. We take them as a compliment, but we’re already moving forward to next year.”
.
The company was recognized for products across all hard surface categories, including Serengeti Slate (ceramic), Time Crafted Maple (laminate), Ashford Walnut (LVT), Stonehenge Walnut (hardwood) and an Adura Elements display (merchandising unit for resilient flooring).
.
According to Mannington’s director or styling Terry Marchetta, the company is in the unique position of being able to translate looks from segment to segment. She believes this is one reason why the company netted five awards.
.
“It’s a team effort,” she says. “We have a really good team and easily share ideas between product categories. Everyone is helping everybody else.”
