Walking the walk: Laticrete donates to oldest hiking trail
Laticrete is lending its support to the Long Trail, the oldest long-distance hiking trail in the United States. Built from 1910 to 1930 by the Green Mountain Club, the trail winds through 270 miles of the scenic Green Mountains in Vermont (pictured). Laticrete chairman and CEO David Rothberg, a self-described “avid outdoor enthusiast,” provided a “major corporate leadership gift” to help preserve the trail, according to the outdoor group. “When I met with David and told him about the Long Trail Second Century campaign, his response was enthusiastic and his decision to support the campaign was not only generous, it was quick,” said Ben Rose, executive director of the Green Mountain Club.
