Following similar announcements from Armstrong and Mannington,
Tarkett Commercial said it will raise prices on its commercial VCT flooring to
help offset the higher costs of raw materials. Beginning July 1, Tarkett will
increase prices on its VCT flooring by 5 percent.
“With energy costs at record levels
and continuing to increase beyond our estimation or control, we must pass on a
price increase on all our commercial VCT flooring,” said Gilles de Beaumont,
president of Tarkett Commercial Tile. “We recognize how price increases affect
our distributors’ business and plan to keep open communication with them
regarding supply and demand concerns or with any changes in production costs.”
“Tarkett Commercial Tile will continue to develop technologies
not only to further improve our products but to enable us to make them more
efficiently,” he added.
