In a move that follows a similar announcement from Armstrong, and is potentially a harbinger of price hikes across the laminate and vinyl flooring categories, Mannington said it will raise prices on select commercial and residential vinyl products as well as laminate floors beginning July 7.

“This is an extraordinary period of low demand and escalating costs not experienced by our industry for decades,” said Tom Davis, president and CEO of Mannington Mills.

“Continuing raw material cost increases, driven by record-setting oil and natural gas prices, must unfortunately be passed on to the consumer,” the company said.
