With style to spare: Vegas Bowling mecca pins hopes on resilient
Annie Aalto, a senior designer for waterjet firm Creative Edge, poses with Linnea Eastwood and Craig Harada of the Friedmutter Group at Red Rock Lanes in Las Vegas. The Friedmutter Group, which was hired to design “one of the most elaborate bowling centers ever built,” worked with Creative Edge to create a unique resilient floor that acts as a transition between the bowling lanes and the carpet behind the seating area. “The custom carpet that was chosen as the design element had a unique and curvaceous pattern that complemented the overall high-tech/retro feel of the venue,” Aalto said. “This carpet, in turn, inspired the design of the resilient flooring.” The project included Estrie’s Mirra Wood and Luxury 500 collections, and Tajima 16” by 16” commercial vinyl tiles.
