Building on their expertise in
the hardwood industry, several executives from the now defunct Wood Flooring
International have launched a new company called Brandywine International
Hardwood LLC. Brandywine’s staff includes John Himes, Mike Tucker, Andy Gallo
and about 10 other former staffers of WFI, which was forced to close after
Hoboken Floors’ bankruptcy last year. Plans call for former CEO William Jopling
to join Brandywine after he finishes his official duties at WFI.
Additionally, Brandywine has acquired the exclusive rights of all brands,
websites and trademarks of WFI Inc. These include the residential Wood Flooring
International brand, the commercial brand Wood Floor Resource Group, and a list
of brands and programs including Bamtex and all product collection names.
The
company said it will formally relaunch during Surfaces.“We’ve got several new
items ready to be launched and will continue to offer an ever growing selection
of environmentally friendly and FSC certified products,” said Himes. “We really
can’t wait to get to Surfaces and show off all that Brandywine International
Hardwood has to offer.”
