With an eye toward better serving the needs of regional
markets, Tarkett has reorganized its management structure. The company will now
operate its residential and commercial business within three regional
divisions: North America, Western Europe and Eastern Europe. Jeff Buttitta,
president and CEO of sister company Johnsonite, has been tapped to head the
North American unit.
“We recognize that there are factors
that make each geographic market unique in product needs and service needs, in
channel structure and in culture,” Buttitta said of the move. “By reorganizing
into a regional structure, our objective is to better understand and execute
against these differences, and to deliver a brand experience that ultimately
satisfies the desires of the final customer and our market channel partners,”
he noted.
Plans call for day-to-day
operations of the North American businesses – which include Domco, Azrock by
Tarkett and Nafco by Tarkett – to continue to be managed locally. Gilles de
Beaumont will continue as president of Tarkett Commercial Tile in Houston. Additionally,
Guillaume Laverdure will remain president of the Tarkett residential business
in Farnham, Quebec.
