Universal Fibers unveils new cradle to cradle tech

Fibers said it has developed a new technology that produces nylon 6,6 fiber
from recycled carpeting. Working in cooperation with commercial carpet tile
maker InterfaceFLOR, the as yet unnamed technology separates carpet face fiber
from backing so that it can be recycled. This allows an “economically viable”
way to reprocess post-consumer fiber into new commercial products, according to
