While much of the attention at this year's Surfaces was paid to the floor, radiant heating systems and accessories makers urged showgoers to look beyond the floor and consider the benefits of radiant heating. Companies debuted new systems and materials engineered specifically for use with radiant heating technology. At least one manufacturer -- WarmlyYours -- had its sales force dressed down in bathrobes to illustrate the potential comfort offered by its radiant products.

Glass tile maker Moving Color provided another highlight at the show with its latest line. The glass tile line showcases heat-sensitive colors, which change in response to temperature fluctuations. According to the company, the product is ideal for use with radiant heating systems.

Other manufacturers debuting new radiant products included: Easy Heat, MP Global Products, Hacker Industries, Flextherm, Tyco Thermal Controls, Electro Plastics, Sponge Cushion, Watts SunTouch, Dependable Floor Products, United States Gypsum. New to Surfaces were Beijing Healthy Warm Technology and K&L Cable/Warm Zone.
