MAPEI is set to help install a historic mural along San Antonio's River Walk. The 70-year-old mural, which was rescued from a house set for demolition, depicts colorful scenes of a Mexican village. MAPEI will supply all surface preparation equipment and tile installation products needed to set the mural, the company says. In addition, MAPEI plans to send a technical consultant to the site to help oversee the installation.

The mural, which was made during the Depression, comprises 120 tiles. It was made at a arts and crafts workshop overseen by Ethel Wilson Harris, technical supervisor of the Works Progress Administration. The mural will join two other WPA-era pieces along the River Walk, MAPEI says.
