CRI certifies latest cleaning solutions, extractors for Seal of Approval status
Six carpet cleaning solutions and eight extractors recently earned the Carpet and Rug Institute’s Seal of Approval certification. Seal of Approval products meet the highest standards of effectiveness and quality in carpet cleaning, according to CRI. Products must pass a series of stringent tests based on strict criteria in order to receive the certification.
In cleaning solutions, Chem Dry earned three Seal of Approval certifications with its Grease and Oil Spot remover, Stain Extinguisher and Stain Extinguisher: Grease and Oil Spot remover products. Additionally, Stanley Steemer’s Professional Carpet and Upholstery Spot Remover and Steamway International’s Easy Green Traffic Cleaner and Easy Green Rinse were Seal of Approval certified.
Extractors are graded from Gold to Bronze based on the amount of soil and residual moisture removed from the carpet following a wet cleaning, as well as consideration of the look of the carpet after the equipment is used. US Products’ Solus 310 extractor received the highest level of certification, Seal of Approval Gold.
Bronze certification was earned by: Kent-Euroclean’s Klenzor 16; Clarke’s Clean Track extractors including the 16, 18 and 18 Wash and Rinse; Steamway’s 4100 LX Mastematic and 4100 Galaxy; and Advance’s Aquaclean 16ST.
