The company cited several reasons for the price hikes including continued, significant rising costs in energy, raw materials and transportation. Effective with shipments made on or after Nov. 15, there will be increases of 7 to 10 percent on vinyl composition tile (VCT) products, approximately 5 percent on commercial and residential vinyl products, and 3 to 5 percent on hardwood products.
"We have experienced unprecedented increases in our key raw materials, on top of the higher energy and transportation costs we've been absorbing for some time now. These cost increases are substantial and unfortunately can no longer be absorbed," said Tom Davis, company president and CEO.
"Although increases have impacted our industry in virtually every product category, flooring remains an excellent value and, therefore, continues to show market strength."
