Environmental Design + Construction,sister publication toNFTand its collaborator on the magazine's annual Sustainable Flooring special sections, has won a Best Sustainable Practice Award for Special Achievement in Communications from the Sustainable Buildings Industry Council (SBIC).

The honor will be conferred upon ED+C during the SBIC's 2004 Awards ceremony at its annual FORUM event entitled, "Cents and Sustainability: The Ripple Effects of Integrated Design." The FORUM is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 13, at the American Institute of Architects headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The 2004 Best Sustainable Practice Awards were open to all SBIC members, many of whom continue to set the standard for energy- and resource-efficient design in America's buildings. This year's Awards Program was sponsored by the U.S. GSA Office of the Public Buildings Service, the American Iron and Steel Institute, Southern California Edison Co., the Trane Co., the Portland Cement Association, BASF Corp., and Mountain Products.
