Groleau said the pact will help the company expand its sales network for hardwood and composed engineered flooring, as well as its laminated and parquet flooring. The agreement stands to give Beaulieu Canada a broader selection of products to offer its merchants.
Groleau's president, Louise Groleau., said the distribution alliance reflects Beaulieu Canada's confidence in her company. "We produce very high-quality products and we are pleased that Beaulieu has chosen us as its exclusive hardwood flooring supplier," she said.
Established in 1903, Groleau manufactures and distributes hardwood flooring in Canada, the United States and Europe. It employs 250 people at its three Québec plants in Beloeil, Saint-Thècle and Louiseville and has sales offices in Canada and the United States, as well as strategic partnerships in Brazil and China.
Beaulieu Canada, which is based in Acton Vale, Québec, and has 1,600 workers, says it manufactures more than 50 percent of the carpet produced in Canada. It operates in commercial and residential markets in North America, the Middle East, Australia and South America.
