Roca Ceramica has opened a fully automated, state-of-the-art warehouse at the company’s factory in the Penedes district of Barcelona, Spain. The new warehouse is a key component of Roca Ceramica’s integrated management system, and is the only one of its type in the tile sector worldwide, the company says.

The management system starts when an order comes in, and materials of all sizes — from a single tile to a whole truckload — are selected and sorted. The system is designed to assure better and faster service for clients, and strictly maintain on-time deliveries. Roca Ceramica’s automated logistics center covers an area of 2,800 square meters and has a capacity for more than 25,000 pallets.
