An in-store merchandising system, "The Magnet" has been awarded a patent from the U.S. government. The system's creator, Atlanta-based Allen Stein Designs, says the palette card display enables consumers to see all styles, colors and price points at one glance. The company says display maintenance is simplified because there is only one correct spot in which to replace a display board.

"The United State Government has now formally recognized what current users of the racks are already experiencing," said Stein. "That is, these racks are, in fact, a revolutionary change in the way samples are displayed."
