Citing the escalating cost of material used to make its flooring products as well as the rising cost of shipping it, Congoleum said it will increase the price on all of its commercial and residential products by four to six percent. The company did not specify how much its prices will increase. The move takes effect October 17.

In a statement, Dennis Jarosz, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Congoleum, said: "The increases are necessitated by the continued rise in costs of key raw materials in addition to the added costs of transportation."
