Carpet One hosted its first Special Awards Ceremony at the recent 2001 Carpet One International Summer Convention in Nashville, Tenn. The buying group honored 173 dealers who have been members for at least 10 years.
The company also presented nine awards for various member achievements. John Hughes of O'Brien's Carpet One in Colorado Springs, Colo. won the Community Service Award for creating a Down Syndrome national awareness campaign.
The company also awarded Al Sinclair of Alfred's Carpet One in London, Ontario with the Leadership Award; Shawn Bayat of Quality Carpet One in Woodbridge, Va. with the Commitment to Education Award; John Taylor of Taylor Carpet One in Fort Myers, Fla. with the Top 5 Diamond Dealer Award; Mary Jo Bagnal of Arcade Floors in Baltimore with the Installation Excellence Spirit Award; Harold Brewington of America Flooring in Fayetteville, N.C. with the Greatest Product Purchase Increase Award; Sol Nagorner of San Deigo Carpet One with the Top Lees Sales Award; Albert Klein Horsman of Klein Horsman Floor Covering of Ontario with the Top Harding Sales Award; and Randy Pack of Floors Inc. in Southlake, Texas with the Top Bigelow Sales Award.
