Shaw Industries has adapted its stain-resist R2x system for use with polypropylene and polypropylene/nylon carpet styles in its 4- and 5-Star categories. According to the company, tests show that polypropylene carpets treated with R2x resist soiling better and are more easily maintained through cleaning than comparably treated products.

Shaw Industries has adapted its stain-resist R2x system for use with polypropylene and polypropylene/nylon carpet styles in its 4- and 5-Star categories. According to the company, tests show that polypropylene carpets treated with R2x resist soiling better and are more easily maintained through cleaning than comparably treated products.
R2x is applied to carpets from the top to the bottom of the yarn to produce total fiber coverage.
