OAKMONT, Pa. - The Hardwood Council, a national group devoted to helping building professionals, interior designers and woodworkers effectively specify American hardwoods, has launched a revamped and updated website at www.hardwoodcouncil.com.

One new section, "Species and Stains," allows web browsers to view 21 major hardwood species in light, medium and dark stains. Other sections include "Specifying Hardwoods, Tips & Techniques," "Hardwood Floors" and a "Write and Request" page that gives visitors the option of ordering the council's free Finishing Touch CD and brochure.
