LANCASTER, Pa.--Armstrong World Industries has appointed Michael J. Badar vice president of Wood Flooring, the division recently integrated into Armstrong Floor Products (AFP).

Since August 2000, Badar was chief commercial officer and co-CEO of ChoiceParts LLC, an Internet-based auto parts concern in Chicago.

Badar also worked as vice president of North American Operations for GE's Capital Fleet Services in Eden Prairie, Minn. He was responsible for leading and directing North American asset acquisition and customer service functions.

In his new position, Badar will work closely with Frank Ready, senior vice president of North American Flooring.
