Domco Tarkett Inc. announced that the special committee of independent directors of Domco Tarkett authorized the disclosure of the provisional range of values of $7.50 to $8.75 per Share of the common shares of Domco Tarkett submitted on June 16, 2003 to it by RBC Dominion Securities Inc., the independent valuator mandated by the special committee to prepare a valuation on Domco Tarkett in accordance with the provisions of policy statement Q-27 of the Quebec Securities Commission and rule 61-501 of the Ontario Securities Commission.

The valuation was required in light of the announcement on April 30, 2003 of Tarkett Sommer AG, the principal shareholder of Domco Tarkett, of its intention to acquire all the outstanding common shares of Domco Tarkett not already owned by Tarkett Sommer and its affiliates, at a price of $7.50 per share, payable in cash.
